William. lately.

An interview with a 2 year old...

Me: Whats your name?
William: William Stotch (it's pretty close)
Me: how old are you?
William: 2 years old.
Me: what is your favorite color?
William: pink (news to me. haha!)
Me: When is your birthday?
William: ummm... Sunday.
Me: What do you like to do for fun?
William: Play.
Me: what is your favorite food?
William: Ummmm.... Noodles.

William is growing up so fast, he is such a big boy and smarty pants!

He took to potty training like a champ and we haven't looked back, he was fully potty trained with in a couple days and hardly ever has accidents. he does however wakes me up ever night to take him potty. this would be the only down side of him not wearing a diaper.

He is going through his terrible twos, some days he throws horrible fits and I put him in our room with the door closed and tell him to let me know when he is done throwing his fit.  I'll go in later after his screaming and yelling calms down a little and ask if hes done? he says "I'm done throwing my fit momma" and he says "I'm ready to be a good boy" it's funny, but sad all at the same time.

He is such a character, today we were going on a little golf cart ride and he said look mom there are "1, 2, 3, 4 tractors, I know my numbers!" haha!

We have been working on using the word "excuse me" he thinks he is supposed to say "get out of my way" I have to remind him over and over, it is more polite to say "please excuse me" we are working on it.


The other day I was doing a photo shoot for Lucas and Avary for their Birthday invitations, (coming soon!) William was feeling a little left out and would not get out of the way! He wanted HIS TURN and kept posing for me.  I said ok now it's brothers turn he would say no it's my turn, take my picture! I would take a picture and then he would run over and HAVE to see it, then run back and pose again.... THIS is the result of the other days photos of William, again, they are not edited... they could definitely use a little help, but oh well... every time Brandon and I look at these photos we laugh so hard!

he had to pose with this stupid bear stuffed animal! he has never played with it before, but Avary was using it in her photos so I guess he thought he needed it too. he would not put it down, such a weirdo! but I love him!

the other night = a lot of pictures...

While all the daddy's/men were at the priesthood session the other night, naturally all the girls gathered together at my moms house.  We sat outside and chatted while the kids played.  I was sitting there and thought you know what I should really get my camera.  I feel horrible because I have been taking so many pictures lately but none of my own family! All I needed to do was say the words out load that I haven't been as busy lately and then bam all of the sudden I got busy again! I haven't posted anything about my children in forever, the last monthly post of Lucas was at 9 months and he is almost one! yikes! and I didn't even add his 9 month stats. and who knows how long its been since I have given un update on William.

SO... here are a lot of random pictures from the other night. I have a hard time just taking a picture these days, I want every picture to be great, I want it to have great lighting, and angle and appeal to the eye... and I want to edit it to give it its full potential! but that is so unrealistic. So all these pictures are straight from my camera, no cropping, editing, or enhancing. I still love them. I would rather have some pictures of my children then none at all! So my goal is to do better, and not care as much, not care if I have to use my on camera flash, and not have to strive for the perfect shot every time!

I have really enjoyed my children lately. Lucas is starting to learn new things, and is growing up before my eyes. and William cracks me and Brandon up on a daily basis. We feel so blessed to have two beautiful boys!

 He was crawling around outside, and he was trying to protect his knees the best he could. who lets their child crawl around in the dirt/cement/rocks. poor thing. :)

 I asked him, can you come stand right here on the grass so mommy can take your picture? he said, yea hold on, he had to first put his hands in his pockets, that was his pose, where does he come up with this stuff? Brandon claims its from my side of the family. But I'm not totally convinced. I say its his dad.

 He will not smile normal for me! no matter how hard I try to tell him! If I say smile at the camera this is what I ALWAYS get! it's not cute. haha!

 these two! boy have they come a long way! They are finally getting to the age where the don't hate each other and constantly want to kill each other. its nice.

 this little slide has so been worth my 10 dollar investment. love it. Lucas loves it. He pulls him self down the slide all the time. its darling.

 Beckham LOVES Lucas, he is SO good with him! I always tell him that he is Lucas' favorite cousin!

2 things...

I have decided to throw a big ol' first birthday bash with my friend Sarah for our little ones. You remember the friend that had her baby an hour apart from me in the same hospital, and then we had recovery rooms side by side together!? I can't believe they are almost a year!! where the heck did the time go!? SOOO, my question is any birthday theme ideas you want to share Id be grateful, we want to do something that incorporates both of them, and with one being a girl and one being a boy it gets a little trickier. I still have A LOT to work with a a lot of ideas but I thought I would throw it out there and see what help I get? if I get anything..

ALSO, one more thing,

I would love to know if anyone has any great photography spots here in St George that they wouldn't mind sharing? I have some places that I have used but I need more options and I am sure there are a million places I just need to get more creative, now that the weather is getting nice I don't have to do as many indoor studio shoots, it's all very exciting! So please pass on any knowledge you may have, if you took a family photo session somewhere or had your children's pictures taken some where that you loved let me know where! thanks!

Slowing down...

Life has slowed down a little bit, it's still busy don't get me wrong it just isn't crazy like it was around the holidays and such.  We have been enjoying more days of just playing and enjoying each other. I love days where we don't even get dressed and we, play linking logs, Lego's, animals, cars, trucks, farm house, turn on the radio and dance, and read lots and lots of books. Those are the best days.  The boys love when its a low key day and we get to just hang out. William is SUCH a boy and loves motorcycles, trucks, and sports.  He loves to play catch, and kick the ball back and forth, and hit the baseball.  I'll pitch him the ball and have him hit it. and then he will want to pitch me the ball and I will hit it.  He will always tell me, "get in your stance momma" (because that's what we always tell him) and I will. He will pitch it to me and when I hit it he says good hit mommy. haha... so encouraging.

This is the smile I get every time I ask William to give me a smile for the camera. A total cheese. He will not give me a normal smile. Sometimes he smiles so big it looks painful! haha!

karaoke night

Sarah and Steve-o were over the other night The boys were watching a game in the other room and Sarah and I decided to take out the ancient Karaoke Machine and have a little fun.  We got it out dusted it off and hooked it up, and before we could even sing one song Brandon emerged from the room and took the mike to show us how it's done! I swear he didn't share that mike for the rest of the night!

Then the men got a hold of the mikes and sang and sang.  We even left the room and they still just kept on going! haha! they were having too much fun!

My Valentines...

I love my boys, and am so happy to be their mama!  They make my days so fun, eventful, and exciting. It's never a dull moment... they continue to surprise me with how smart and clever they are. to my valentines, I LOVE YOU, happy Valentine's Day!

love this picture SO much... they are such good friends, and adore each other. And they play so well together now, I love it.

Lucas {9 months}

LUCAS turned nine months old on January 29th.

A lot of things are happening and he changes so much every day! He is learning new things and becoming more aware and more smart. He is a happy little guy with an infectious smile! You are instantly put in a good mood with one of his smiles! He melts my heart and has me and his dad wrapped around his finger, we love him more then life, he is so much fun, and makes me so proud to be his mama.

In month 8...

*He went from army crawling to full on crawling on his hands and knees.  He gets around pretty fast now.
*He pulls him self up on everything now.
*When he is standing he has started letting go of the piece of furniture he is standing at, it's almost like he is doing a trick, and tries to show off.  it only lats for seconds before he either falls or hangs back on. It's funny.
*He has started letting go of one piece of furniture to hurry and grabbing another piece that is near by, and walking along furniture.
*He is starting to boycott his baby food and just want real food. I don't really blame him Table food is way better! But I don't think he is getting as much food because it takes him a lot longer to eat table food.
*He isn't the greatest at feeding him self, he will grasp his food with his fingers but isn't very good at getting it in his mouth yet.
*He does a very loud scream these days.  Its a happy scream, it's when he is hyper and happy, so I can't really get mad at him, it's just loud!
*His second tooth just barley popped out and has been causing a lot of havoc this month!
*His hair is getting kind of ridiculous... I think we are going to give him a hair cut soon!

William the big boy!

My little baby is growing up! It's happened so fast I don't even know how or when it happened.  We started potty training on Saturday. 

Saturday morning: We put underwear on him early after we woke up and he stayed in it all day. He did well told me when he needed to pee pee and went on the toilet all day. We even went to walmart and back. He had one pee accident that evening right before bath time. Then we put a diaper on him to go to bed.

Sunday: took off his diaper in the morning put underwear on him went to church, he had a pee accident at nursery. :( Brandon brought him home and talked to him and changed him he said sorry, and he promised he would do better. and he was good the rest of the day. no more accidents.

Monday: He stayed dry ALL day until like 11:00 at night when he was playing with his brother in the toy room, we went in to check on him and there was a puddle on the floor and he was ashamed. I put a diaper on him to go to bed again, still being nervous about going all night.

Tuesday: His diaper was still dry in the morning, and he went in the toilet all day, and didn't have ANY accidents. and we put him to bed with under wear on.

Wednesday: He didn't have an accident at night and woke up dry, and stayed dry all day.  NO accidents for two days straight!!


I can't believe he is doing so well, my baby is potty trained. It's crazy! I am so proud of him.

It's someones birthday

One day, (several years ago! before children.) I think I was in a bad mood or something and Brandon wanted to make me smile. We were sitting on the couch watching TV and when I looked over at Brandon he looked like this!!

I instantly bust up laughing and asked how long he has been sitting like that!?!? I hadn't seen him get up in a long time! It was hilarious! I laughed so hard I probably almost peed my pants! It's things like this and so much more that make me love you so much!
