Lucas' Hair Cut

{BEFORE} ALL smiles! (well except Brandon, don't really know what he is doing in this picture?)

 His hair was SO long and he had so much of it!!!! These pictures do NOT do it justice

 {DURING} he was so sad, and crying.  I know these stupid clippers can pull and hurt so I didn't know if that was why or not? he would cry ever time I put the clippers through his hair, I didn't want to take the chance if it was the clippers hurting him or just him not wanting to get his hair cut, SO I
stopped...

 notice his face. :( so sad. We had to stop.  It seemed like it was hurting him.

{After} I called reinforcements! we called my sister in law Andrea to come help. :) she does hair for a living at Salon Seine. She brought her nice clippers and sharp scissors. :)


It took like three attempts over the course of like a week to get it right, he had so much hair I cant believe how much we cut off! and this was the only pic I had that showed his hair good enough, and its a horrible picture, oh well... there will be many more pics to come I am sure and you will be able to see his adorable new do! it has changed him SO much!

Paper Airplanes

My dad makes the best paper airplanes around. I was asking him to teach me the other day.  I don't know how many papers I went through! I kept ruining them! The kids love making and throwing paper airplanes around. who doesn't!?

this is William after he has thrown his airplane. He throws his up and behind him self, he doesn't even know where it goes most of the time! But of course to him it was way cool.

We have also made it to the "watch this mom" stage! I can't believe I have a boy old enough to say "watch this mom" all day!

He just HAD to...

...Wear his brothers shirt today.

I told him to go get some clothes with his dad and I would get him dressed, this is what he brought me. I said no this is brothers shirt, it is NOT going to fit you.  He said NO I want to wear this one! he would not give in, so I said ok look I'll show you, I put it on him, and told him see it is too small! haha! he said no it's not, and wore it the rest of the day.  Good thing it was Sunday and we didn't go any where and he didn't change into this until later in the afternoon after church.

but seriously how freaking funny is he! love this kid! even when he is stubborn, and persistent about what he wants!

Lucas

I said I was going to start taking more pictures, even if it meant I was going to use my on camera flash, (I know a few of you may cringe.) This was the other night after bath and pajamas. 

He has been teething a lot lately which means two things, 1. he cant chomp on his fingers hard enough!  and 2. he is drooling like a saint bernard but he is still a fun little guy! love you my little Deuteronomy.

Im "Mad" about HIM!

Like I said in a previous post Sarah and I are throwing a joint birthday party for our beauties!  With Sarah and I giving birth an hour apart last year (down to the very minute!) We thought it would be appropriate to celebrate their first year together with a Par-TEA! We will be having a lot of fun in "one"derland! A photo booth, queens croquet, food, and a bounce house to name a few! If you happen to be in town that weekend let me know we would love to have you come!

William. lately.

An interview with a 2 year old...

Me: Whats your name?
William: William Stotch (it's pretty close)
Me: how old are you?
William: 2 years old.
Me: what is your favorite color?
William: pink (news to me. haha!)
Me: When is your birthday?
William: ummm... Sunday.
Me: What do you like to do for fun?
William: Play.
Me: what is your favorite food?
William: Ummmm.... Noodles.

William is growing up so fast, he is such a big boy and smarty pants!

He took to potty training like a champ and we haven't looked back, he was fully potty trained with in a couple days and hardly ever has accidents. he does however wakes me up ever night to take him potty. this would be the only down side of him not wearing a diaper.

He is going through his terrible twos, some days he throws horrible fits and I put him in our room with the door closed and tell him to let me know when he is done throwing his fit.  I'll go in later after his screaming and yelling calms down a little and ask if hes done? he says "I'm done throwing my fit momma" and he says "I'm ready to be a good boy" it's funny, but sad all at the same time.

He is such a character, today we were going on a little golf cart ride and he said look mom there are "1, 2, 3, 4 tractors, I know my numbers!" haha!

We have been working on using the word "excuse me" he thinks he is supposed to say "get out of my way" I have to remind him over and over, it is more polite to say "please excuse me" we are working on it.


The other day I was doing a photo shoot for Lucas and Avary for their Birthday invitations, (coming soon!) William was feeling a little left out and would not get out of the way! He wanted HIS TURN and kept posing for me.  I said ok now it's brothers turn he would say no it's my turn, take my picture! I would take a picture and then he would run over and HAVE to see it, then run back and pose again.... THIS is the result of the other days photos of William, again, they are not edited... they could definitely use a little help, but oh well... every time Brandon and I look at these photos we laugh so hard!

he had to pose with this stupid bear stuffed animal! he has never played with it before, but Avary was using it in her photos so I guess he thought he needed it too. he would not put it down, such a weirdo! but I love him!

the other night = a lot of pictures...

While all the daddy's/men were at the priesthood session the other night, naturally all the girls gathered together at my moms house.  We sat outside and chatted while the kids played.  I was sitting there and thought you know what I should really get my camera.  I feel horrible because I have been taking so many pictures lately but none of my own family! All I needed to do was say the words out load that I haven't been as busy lately and then bam all of the sudden I got busy again! I haven't posted anything about my children in forever, the last monthly post of Lucas was at 9 months and he is almost one! yikes! and I didn't even add his 9 month stats. and who knows how long its been since I have given un update on William.

SO... here are a lot of random pictures from the other night. I have a hard time just taking a picture these days, I want every picture to be great, I want it to have great lighting, and angle and appeal to the eye... and I want to edit it to give it its full potential! but that is so unrealistic. So all these pictures are straight from my camera, no cropping, editing, or enhancing. I still love them. I would rather have some pictures of my children then none at all! So my goal is to do better, and not care as much, not care if I have to use my on camera flash, and not have to strive for the perfect shot every time!

I have really enjoyed my children lately. Lucas is starting to learn new things, and is growing up before my eyes. and William cracks me and Brandon up on a daily basis. We feel so blessed to have two beautiful boys!

 He was crawling around outside, and he was trying to protect his knees the best he could. who lets their child crawl around in the dirt/cement/rocks. poor thing. :)

 My little William, what a character these days

 I asked him, can you come stand right here on the grass so mommy can take your picture? he said, yea hold on, he had to first put his hands in his pockets, that was his pose, where does he come up with this stuff? Brandon claims its from my side of the family. But I'm not totally convinced. I say its his dad.

 He will not smile normal for me! no matter how hard I try to tell him! If I say smile at the camera this is what I ALWAYS get! it's not cute. haha!

 these two! boy have they come a long way! They are finally getting to the age where the don't hate each other and constantly want to kill each other. its nice.

 this little slide has so been worth my 10 dollar investment. love it. Lucas loves it. He pulls him self down the slide all the time. its darling.

 Beckham LOVES Lucas, he is SO good with him! I always tell him that he is Lucas' favorite cousin!
