Last Week

This is Me and Ellie giving you our best belly shot. We are due a month apart. She is having a girl me a boy. She is carrying high I am carrying Low. and by the looks of it I should be the one that is ahead but really she is due in October and Me in November. as always...I am just large! :)

This is Brandon and Kaitlyn waiting out side the temple for the Bride and groom to take all their pictures. She is giving him "loves". This is a mutual love relationship. They have a lot of fun together.

This is Kaitlyn and Brandon taking a nap. I had just showered with her and she was SO tired, when she got out of the shower with me I dried her and wrapped her up in her towel and set her on the bed so I could dry off and get dressed, and before I was done she had fallen asleep. And with all the lack of sleep we had been having Brandon went in and layed down by her and was out in no time! They were so adorable together I couldn't help but take some pictures!

We are back. So it has been a long week as I had mentioned on my previous post. I ended up driving down to pick up my sister in law in Vegas Tuesday night and then we drove through the night up to Ogden Canyon where Brandon's parents had rented a beautiful house for all of us to stay in. We hardly got any sleep while we were up there but it was a lot of fun!!

This week...

Hello all..

I am going to Salt Lake this week. I am excited. Brandon's Brother Matt is getting married. The last one in his family to do so and all of Brandon's family will be flying in! I have decided on driving up there instead of flying, I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous! Drive 5 hours or however long it takes to get up there and pay a ton of money in gas or fly for free and get there in like an hour! ha ha! I was going to rent a car when I got up there with one of my sister in laws so we had a little freedom while we were there and we didn't have to rely on everyone to go where we needed to go, but the prices to rent a car were SO much! It would be cheaper for me to drive my car up and pay for the gas then to rent a car! oh well! Soooo,.... if anyone down here in St. George needs a ride up to the Salt Lake area I will be heading that way! I will be going all the way up to Logan so any stops on the way up there will be on my way up! I will have to drive by my self because I am leaving either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and Brandon works Wednesday and will be flying up after work! That little cheater! I have to drive and he gets to fly! oh well.

I am excited to see Brandon's family and spend time with them again! We just saw them all in June but we don't get to spend time with all of them that often so it's always exciting! Also My sister in law Ellie is Pregnant and is only a month ahead of me and she and I are having a Baby shower while I am up there, (Thanks to my other sister in laws for throwing it for us!) It will be on Wednesday this week in Lehi. I am totally excited about that. Then on Thursday I am throwing a bridal shower for the bride to be and that should be fun! (fingers crossed! ha ha) if any of you guys have any last minute bridal shower games that I could play let me know?

This week is packed, Wed night is my baby shower, Thursday morning Lauren (Matt's fiance) is going through the temple (in Logan) and then that night we have a bridal shower for her in Lehi. Friday they are getting sealed (in the Logan temple) and there is a dinner that night. and then Saturday they are having their reception for everyone. They wanted to have everything spread out so they weren't so overwhelmed on one day, I think. so an eventful week to look forward to. I am excited. I will tell you about it when I get back. And again I am serious about if anyone wants a ride up to northern Utah, I will be driving by my self so let me know! :)

This is a picture of my sister in laws... From left to right, Lauren (the bride to be) Corinn (Brannon's sister) Kelsey (Brandon's sister) Ellie (the one that is pregnant and due a month earlier then me) and then ME. This was when we were all together in Cincinnati in June. This was the day we went golfing. We should have taken the group picture BEFORE we golfed in the sweaty humidity! But it was a lot of fun!

Baby Shower Anyone?!

I am just putting this post out there to see if there is anyone interested in coming to my baby showers? My sister in laws are throwing me one in northern Utah on the 13th of August. It will actually be held in Lehi I believe. If you live up closer to that area you are more then welcome to come! I also have a friend of mine that is going to throw me a shower down here in St. George either the end of August or the beginning of September. We haven't decided on a date yet. If you live down here and are interested in going to that shower you are more than welcome! This is Brandon with the nephews and niece on my side of the family. Brydee, Corben, Jay Jay, and Beckham. They had been wrestling on the ground for a while so I threw Beckham on for a quick picture!

This is Brandon with his new favorite little girl, Kaitlyn. She is SO much fun her uncles couldn't get enough of her. In this picture he was helping her when she got out of the tub, drying her off and putting her jammies on.

This is Brydee and Brandon they have been hanging out more lately this is her giving Brandon one of her Eskimo kisses! She is such a sweet tender hearted little girl! I love her to death!

I want to dedicate this post to my amazing husband! My husband is SO great with kids! I doubt there is a man out there that has had more practice and preparation with newborns and toddlers then my husband has at his age! When I was a nanny back east he would come over and hang out and help me with the babies! He loved it! When he left on his mission he would say I miss the girls! Right before his mission he was in that whole in between stage where he didn't have a job because he was going on a mission so his family dubbed him the babysitter/Shaffer for the family. He would occasionally come over to see me while I was nannying and bring his niece and nephew who at that time were a few months old and two years old. He would have the diaper bag packed with everything that he needed, formula to make a bottle, diapers wipes, you name it he was prepared and confident to take care of a little baby that was just a few months old and a little 2 year old! What 19 year old does things like that?

Well he went on his mission and when he came home and moved out to Utah the child care didn't stop. I was working as a full time flight attendant when he moved out here. I would be gone for days at a time every week. Brandon would fill his days hanging out with my sisters, and their kids! He would literally walk in the door and they would say "oh good Brandon's here he can change the babies diaper!" What man willingly changes diapers especially ones that aren't even his children!? He has taken the abuse from my sisters day after day with a smile and because of it all of his nieces and nephews are really close with their uncle Brandon and they absolutely love him! I love my husband and I cannot wait for the moment when he becomes a father! I look forward most to seeing Brandon become a father for the first time and seeing the look on his face! That is what I am looking forward to the very most!

This son of mine kicks all the time! I have no idea what to judge it by because I obviously haven't been pregnant before. I don't know if it is normal or if he is a more active baby then most? I wonder if this is just a sign of whats to come with a very active little boy! I don't know?
Things are going well. I have been feeling SO much better. My meds actually work now as before they didn't really do anything, I still would throw up all day even when I took them. But now there is a difference. If I am up too long in the morning with out taking my pills I know it! I am like I don't feel good and then I run to the bathroom! So I am really good at taking my pills. My body doesn't let me forget for too long. I am just glad they are doing something now!
I herd the second trimester was so much better then the first and I was waiting for it to get better the very next day that I entered my third trimester! It eventually got better and the second trimester HAS been better! I have a lot more energy and feel so much better. With less throwing up the wait gain has began! I have already gained 25 pounds! yeah I know! I didn't gain anything until I was at least 41/2 to 5 months a long.. and then in my 5th month I pretty much made up for lost time and gained everything really fast! I don't even know how that is possible? To gain 25 pounds in a few short weeks? that can't be normal! I will be 6 months on Saturday! 24 weeks! yeah!
I just thought I would post a little update on the pregnancy more pictures will be coming soon. Especially of my last few vacations I havn't posted anything about them yet! :(

The after pictures

So I am a little late at getting these posted... sorry. I love my new hair cut! I seriously chopped it off!! It feels so much better, so light weight and cool. I actually do my hair now. It takes two seconds to blow it dry and two more seconds to style it. I love that part! More importantly my husband likes it! I was worried what he would think the most. Everyone else I don't really care. :) but he really likes it so that makes me like it even more. The first two days or so he just kept saying "Your hot!" He would also say he felt like he was cheating on his wife because I looked so different. ha ha! well here are the results. I am glad I finally did it. With being pregnant it has really helped! I "get ready" a lot more. And I am not as hot and sweaty!This picture is the side that is a little longer then the other one.

Can you kind of tell that is is un even. like longer on one side. That's how I wanted it. :)

I don't know it you can tell but I have a lot of red and blond high lights! The red is really red! and the blond is more caramel.

And last but not least a belly shot of my growing belly! I am 22 weeks! The baby moves all the time! Most of the time I love it! Sometimes its like he moves into an air pocket or a gas bauble and I'm like woooowoo, easy boy!

CHOP

We will call this the before picture... I had just gotten out of the shower so it was half wet half dry (not the best look) but I just wanted to show you what the before picture looked like.

So it's official I am going to chop of my hair! My apointment is tomorrow morning! I will post pictures of my new look soon. I am totally ready for this! It is SO hot especially with no air conditioning! (but we are getting that fixed too! YEAH!) And then the whole being pregnant thing on top of that. It's just HOT! I sweat all day long! it's gross, Brandon and I take Several freezing cold showers a day just so we don't over heat! Tuesday I chop my hair and Wed. We get our air conditioner fixed! What a great week! I am so excited! I have been really wanting an A line Bob look.. something kind of B semetrical even. Something like what Rhianon and Victoria Beckham have.

The Results

OK... I now have to apologize to me little baby because I have been calling him a her for the past two weeks or so. I was TOTALLY wrong. I hate that I was wrong. But we are totally going to have a little boy. A Son. It's kinda cute when I say "son" for some reason? We are really excited though! I kinda have to change my thought process a little because I totally thought we were having a girl. Even after the ultra sound I kept thinking no he was wrong. I kept having Brandon show me again on the picture where his penis was! now I have to deal with a penis. Eeww. Don't get me wrong I am totally excited. My son will be the biggest pimp daddy ever. I went out last night and got a couple "Boy things". I thought I would let you all know our progress, and our news!

Baby Gender

This is me at 20 weeks! I know I am huge! people are always shocked to here how far a long I am! They say things like "Are you sure there isn't two in there?" or something like "What are you going to look like when you are at the end of your pregnancy!?" I know! I am big! I just keep growing! I used to think me boobs where getting quite large, and now that my stomach is enormous I don't think they are even big anymore. ha ha!

I am so excited... I find out the sex of the baby today! I thought I would find out last week and then when it didn't happen I was totally bummed out, along with all the people that have been anxiously waiting with me! but today is the day! I will let you know what the sex is soon! Brandon and I have always thought we are having a girl. So the last two weeks or so when the baby moves I call her a "her" Brandon laughs at me and says oh really, HER? this doesn't mean I WANT a girl I don't really mind either way what I have. The only thing I am going to be disappointed about is if I have been wrong this whole time! you know? I wont be disappointed if it's a boy despite what some people may think. We have a name for either a boy or a girl. We are just excited to finally find out! :)

Hello All

12 weeks. I know I am huge for 12 weeks. 16 weeks. again I know I am huge

I am 18 weeks tomorrow!

I think it's time. I think I am ready to CHOP off my hair. I have only been talking about doing it for over a year now. I told my self when I am ready I will do it. Am I ready? I don't know? for those of you out there that are thinking wow she is thinking too hard about this it's only hair! well your wrong. This is a big decision. Some of you may not get that but it is to me. my hair is long.. and I am ready to change it, first I thought I would just do my regrowth because I have a million gray hairs but now I am thinking ill do what I do every summer and put high lights in it just to pacify me with some type of change. BUT I also think I might actually be ready to do something very drastic! OK for those of you with long hair when you cut it do you regret it instantly or are you so happy with the out come?

I never do my hair any more so what is the point of having long hair in the first place? plus it is SO long and St. George is very hot in the summer. Especially this summer because we just found out we need a new Air Conditioner! YEA! we had someone come out the other day charge us 80 bucks to let us know that it was broken and that we need to replace the whole entire unit! He was guessing it would cost us about 5,500 dollars! So you know THAT isn't going to happen anytime soon! We will have to sweat out the summer and then when the baby comes we will have to change that.

We are going to Cincinnati on Tuesday or wed. next week to visit Brandon's family. Everyone is flying out there to see His parents new place. They recently moved out there from New Jersey. We are super excited to see everyone! All of Brandon's siblings will be together for the first time in like over a year! We will be hitting up a Cincinnati Reds baseball game playing golf and probably doing a lot of shopping and eating. Cross your fingers that I have a lot of "good days" while I am out there.

I am still taking my meds to help with the nausea. I have more good days then bad now. That is a miracle! I still have bad days but now they are mixed with good ones so it makes them bearable! Everything I have been reading about the pregnancy says this is the best I will feel so enjoy it now! And I am! I have gotten so much stuff done since I have had more good days. It is nice.

We have been getting the nursery started! painting, painting, and everything else, we are practically under construction. Its a mess! I will post pics of our project soon! And as promised here are some belly pics!
